Moora Central BFB are a dedicated team of volunteers, providing a volunteer fire prevention and firefighting service in the Shire of Moora working alongside other bushfire brigades and spontaneous volunteers support not only within the Shire of Moora but also surrounding areas. Volunteer Marine Rescue Radio Operators maintain computer logs of boat departures and monitor and respond to situations via radio. In critical situations, the duties performed by volunteers can mean the difference between life and death.
Can you see yourself as part of a crew running and operation a volunteer marine rescue vessel? Marine Rescue Leeman is seeking volunteers with maritime experience, or who are keen to learn the ropes. You must love being outdoors, have a reasonable level of fitness, not be prone to seasickness and be up to the challenges of working, at times, under pressure in often-changing conditions.
