SES volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local community is safe. As the Community Engagement Officer, you will play an important part in keeping your community safe while also challenging yourself to apply your skills in a new and exciting environment. The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Promote community preparedness and resilience
- Coordinate unit response to community requests for participation
- Represent the unit at community meetings (at the direction of the Local Manager)
- Assist with the promotion of emergency services engagement with community groups
