Bush Fire Brigade volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. As a Cadet Instructor, you will work as part of a supportive instructional team to deliver engaging, safe and meaningful training to our cadets. You will help create an environment where young people feel challenged, supported and inspired, while preparing cadets for future participation in emergency services and community resilience activities. Duties may include:
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate training sessions for cadets.
- Supervise cadets during training, exercises and approved brigade activities.
- Model safe behaviour and ensure all activities comply with brigade safety standards and procedures.
- Work collaboratively with other instructors and brigade volunteers.
- Support cadets’ personal development, confidence, teamwork and respect for community service.
