SES volunteers play a significant and vital role in ensuring the safety of their local communities.  Donnybrook SES are looking for adaptable and flexible volunteers to join our dynamic team to deliver emergency preparation and response.  Once trained, volunteers will be equipped to carry out a range of activities, which may include:

  • Storm damage assistance
  • Land searches for missing persons
  • Vertical rescue
  • Flood boat rescue
  • Fire ground logistical support
  • Community education and engagement
  • Communications and operations support

Requirements

  • Driver's Licence (C)
  • National Police Certificate *

  • Time Required

    Approximately 2 hours per week (occasionally more during storm and Fire seasons). Attend callouts when available, sometimes at short notice. Occasional weekend training & exercises throughout the year. All members are expected to attend a minimum of 2x training sessions per month to maintain skills currency.

  • Training

    All training and personal protective clothing & equipment is provided. New members are required to complete basic training prior to attending incidents. Weekly training, Tuesday nights.
