Radio Operators keep ongoing computer logs of outgoing boats and operates radio to respond to situations. While the primary role of the SES is to respond to incidents involving floods and storms, it also provides crucial support and assistance to other emergency service organisations. Volunteer role: Cooking for volunteer members of Esperance SES and Marine Rescue on Tuesday evenings. You go shopping on the day and prepare our meals by 1830hrs please. We have half an hour before training starts at 1900hrs.
A bank card is available for use. We have limited funds that need to be used carefully.
Clean up kitchen after we're finished. We will be happy to fill dishwasher with dirty plates and empty when we finish training later that night.

This involves providing emergency repairs on buildings, to restoration of essential services and ferrying cargo and passengers across flood waters.
Helping the community to recover by responding to natural disasters is only part of SES’ responsibility.
