Members of the SES play a significant & vital role in helping to ensure that the community is a safe place in which to work, live & play. They serve the community on a voluntary basis by providing a commitment in operational & non-operational roles.
General training is once a fortnight which involves everything needed to know on search, rescue to enhance skills. Commitment to attending training both fortnightly and over a weekend is a requirement. Able to work in a team and a able to commit to courses. Enjoy working with others and want to learn about emergency services
Volunteers undertake various roles according to their abilities, interests, and what they are comfortable with. This Training and Incidents include. Storm response, Radio Communications, Search. Rescue, Flood response, Vertical rescue, Cliff rescue and First aid.
A variety of operational and non-operational roles are available within the Regions volunteer emergency response groups.
The Ravensthorpe VFRS is a dedicated team of people who have a common desire to contribute to their community by providing emergency assistance. We are currently looking for people who are interested in responding to emergencies such as fire and road crash as well as working with the Community to identify and manage local risk.

Please note, you must live near one of our Fire Stations to be considered for this role. **No more than a 15-minute (or 1km per minute being 15kms) turnaround but prefer less if possible**
