Bush Fire Brigade Volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. Opportunities within the BFB are available in operational and behind the front line community support roles, and you can choose to participate in one or many of the brigade's activities according to your abilities and interests.
Volunteers carry out a range of activities including:
- Responding to local emergencies, such as structure fires, bush and scrub fires, vehicle
- Working with the community to identify and manage local fire risk.
- Undertaking local fire prevention activities with the community.
- Working with residents to improve family and household fire safety.
