Support Members are essential to the smooth and effective operation of the brigade. Their behind-the-scenes work improves readiness, efficiency, and member wellbeing, making them a vital part of the brigade’s success.

This flexible role can be tailored to your skills, interests, and availability. Whether you can contribute occasionally or on a more regular basis, your support helps ensure the brigade can continue serving the Bunbury community.

No previous emergency services experience is required — all training and guidance will be provided. We welcome people from all backgrounds and aim to provide a supportive, inclusive, and family-friendly environment.Support Members assist with a range of activities that keep the brigade running smoothly, including:

Ways you may contribute

  • Administration and general brigade support
  • Assisting with fundraising initiatives and events
  • Supporting community preparedness and public education activities
  • Helping manage supplies, equipment storage, and inventory
  • Assisting with social media and community engagement
  • Providing welfare support for members during training or extended incidents (such as organising refreshments)

Requirements

  • National Police Certificate *

Police check will be provided at no cost to you.
Applicants must reside locally within the area to be considered.

    Approximately 8-10 hours per month. Brigade training is weekly on a Tuesday night. Attendance at some training days/nights and community events is recommended to capture relevant images.

    Regular attendance at training and skill development is an ongoing requirement for this role, with all training provided at no cost to you.
