Bunbury Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service is a team of dedicated volunteers who work together to help protect and support the Bunbury community. Members assist with emergency response, prevention activities, and community engagement while developing practical skills in a supportive team environment.Volunteering with Bunbury VFRS is a rewarding opportunity to meet new people, learn new skills, challenge yourself, and contribute to the safety and resilience of your local community. No previous experience is required – training and equipment are provided.
Key Responsibilities·
- Contribute to fire and emergency response activities when required
- Support local bushfire prevention and preparedness initiatives
- Participate in training to develop and maintain firefighting skills
- Work as part of a supportive team environment
- Assist with community engagement and fire safety awareness
Key Tasks·
- Assist with responses to structural fires and other emergency incidents
- Attend vehicle accidents and hazardous material incidents
- Assist with bushfire response and asset protection activities when required
- Participate in training exercises and brigade activities
- Support local fire prevention and community safety initiatives
- Help educate the community about fire safety and risk reduction

Requirements
- Driver's Licence (C)
- National Police Certificate *
Police check will be provided at no cost to you.
Some incidents may require you to participate in physically demanding tasks, such as lifting and carrying 15kg, or performing physically demanding tasks in hot environments for extended periods of time.
Applicants must reside locally within the area to be considered, it is highly desirable that you reside within a 10-minute drive of the Bunbury townsite.
