As a volunteer of the Lower South West Driving Support Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient transportation of emergency services personnel. This includes supporting large-scale incidents within our region and transporting volunteers to Perth for deployments. Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide transportation for emergency services volunteers and staff during large-scale incidents.
  • Assist with the logistical coordination of transport needs within the region.
  • Ensure safe and timely travel for volunteers being deployed to Perth.
  • Maintain vehicles in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
  • Adapt to changing circumstances and requirements during emergencies.

Requirements

  • Driver's Licence (C)
  • National Police Certificate *

    Across: Augusta WA, Margaret River WA, Nannup WA, Busselton WA

  • Service

    • Fire & Emergency Services

  • Time Required

    2 hours per month. Occasional weekend and evening training & exercises throughout the year. All members are expected to attend a minimum of 1x training session every 6 months to maintain skills currency. Undertake support activities during incidents.

  • Training

    All training and personal protective clothing & equipment is provided. New members are required to complete basic training prior to attending incidents.
