
The duties performed by Marine Rescue volunteers can mean the difference between life and death. As a rescue boat skipper, you will have qualifications and receive further training and qualifications to operate as a volunteer skipper with the Department of Fire and Emergency Services. Training includes radio operation, boat handling, navigation, rope handling, towage, search and rescue and a host of other maritime skills.
