
The duties performed by Marine Rescue volunteers can mean the difference between life and death. As a boat crew member, you will obtain a high degree of training and qualifications, with promotion through to rescue skipper a possibility. Training includes radio operation, boat handling, navigation, rope handling, towage, search and rescue and a host of other maritime skills. Once a level of competence is achieved, you will become eligible to assist in the operation of the rescue craft.
