
SES volunteers play a significant and vital role in ensuring the safety of their local communities. Manjimup SES is seeking adaptable and flexible volunteers to join our dynamic team in delivering emergency preparedness and response. After completing training, volunteers will be ready to undertake a variety of tasks, which may include the following:
- Provide storm damage assistance and aid during natural disasters.
- Reload water bombers with water and foam retardant.
- Conduct land and urban search and rescue for missing persons.
- Stabilise structural damage, such as car vs. house incidents.
- Participate in community education, public relations, and incident management roles.
- Operate communication equipment and use navigation techniques.
- Opportunities for deployments to disaster-affected regions.
