Key Tasks
Operational Roles
- Storm and cyclone damage operations (e.g. tarping, working at heights, temporary repairs, pumping, sandbagging).
- Land search and rescue support.
- Chainsaw and debris clearance (once trained).
- Vertical rescue and access support (once trained).
- Transport, logistics and equipment management.
Support Roles
- Communications and radio operations.
- Administration and records support.
- Public information and social media assistance.
- Recruitment, welfare and general support duties.

As the unit regularly assists with the local Emergency Services Cadets, a Working With Children Card is required. This can be completed after joining, and with costs being reimbursed to the volunteer.
