Bushfire brigade volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe.No experience is necessary all volunteer firefighters are trained and equipped to carry out a range of activities including:

  • Emergency response to fires.
  • Undertaking fire prevention activities.
  • Supporting other emergency service agencies across the state.
  • Community education and engagement.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Attend emergency incidents when available.
  • Act in a professional manner whilst on brigade duties.
  • Regularly attend scheduled brigade training.
  • Adhere to the Shire of Dardanup and DFES Procedures and Polices
  • Follow instructions from superior officers and the chain of command.
  • Be reasonably physically fit.

    Training occurs the first and third Wednesday of every month from 6:00pm – 8:00pm Attend emergency call outs when available.

  • Training

    Some basic courses are required before attending an incident, training will be provided at no cost to you.
