Search volunteer roles

SES volunteers play a significant and vital role in ensuring the safety of their local communities. Harvey SES are looking for adaptable and flexible volunteers to join our dynamic team, you will assist in the day-to-day operation of an emergency response organisation including responding to a natural disaster such as storm, earthquake or flood or assisting in search and rescue operations. Harvey SES are currently seeking volunteers to assist with storm and water damage operations, tasks include:

• Respond to storm, flood, and water damage emergencies.
• Chainsaw operations.
• Assist emergency service groups in search and rescue operations.
• Land searches for missing persons.
• Undertake 4x4 response capability.
• Logistics support duties during emergencies including water bomber reloading and bushfire support.
• Equipment and appliance maintenance.
• Community education and engagement.
• Opportunity to participate in multi-agency emergency exercises.
