Bushfire brigade volunteers play a significant and vital role in helping to ensure their local communities are safe. Volunteer firefighters are trained and equipped to carry out a range of activities including:
- Emergency response to bush and scrub fires.
- Undertake local fire prevention activities with the community.
- Supporting other emergency service agencies as required.
- Participate in community education and engagement.
- Participate in hazard reduction burns.

- National Police Certificate *
We will require that applicants hold as a minimum a current C class licence or at least be working towards it.
Medical declaration to be completed upon application.
Volunteer Police check is provided by the Shire at no cost to you.
