Oakford Bush Fire Brigade will commence firefighter recruitment in March 2023 and invite you to register your interest. Previous firefighting experience is preferred but not required, and personal protective equipment and training will be provided to successful candidates.

Candidates need to reside in close proximity to Oakford and are required to maintain a high level of readiness during bushfire season.

Oakford Bush Fire Brigade responds to bushfires, structural fires, vehicle fires, and other emergency incidents, and we are regularly called on for deployment to incidents outside of the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale.

    Regular - more than 6 months

  • Time Required

    Brigade meeting on the first Tuesday of the month. Training from 7:30pm until 9:30pm every other Tuesday evening.

  • Training

    Members will be provided the necessary training and skills to safely and efficiently attend emergency incidents when required.
