Key Responsibilities

  • Play a significant role in ensuring the community is safe
  • Attend emergency incidents when available
  • Attend regular training to enhance and maintain knowledge and skills 
  • Work within a team, maintain fire fighting vehicles and equipment on a regular basis
  • Attend and assist at fundraising and other brigade activities
  • Socialise with brigade members, family and other emergency services personnel

  • Attend emergency incidents i.e. fires, vehicle crash rescues, hazardous material spills etc

  • All personal protective equipment and training is provided free of charge

Must be over 17 years of age and relatively fit with no ailments that would affect fire fighter tasks

  • Time Required

    Able to attend emergency incidents when available May include some that may occur out of the Bunbury district. Training is every Tuesday evening from 6.30pm with additional training at times over weekends. Monthly maintenance of vehicle and equipement Attendance at fundraising and social activities is required.

  • Training

    Introductory fire fighter training provided on weekends and online. Opportunities exist after these initial course to go into specialised training courses through the Brigade.
