York VFRS are looking for 'Active Firefighters' between 18 and 60 years of age. Applicants need to have some physical fitness as tasks required, at times, can be physically demanding (ie. dragging hoses, wearing firefighting gear, working in hot conditions for long periods) We will training you in all aspects of firefighting free of charge. All Personal Protective equipment and clothes will be supplied for you. Have a look at our Facebook page... Requirements

  • Driver's Licence (C)
  • National Police Certificate *

    York VFRS meets monthly on the first Tuesday of the month. Equipment checks are performed through out the month and new volunteers are encouraged to assist where they can.
