Armadale Volunteer Fire and Rescue Service

The Volunteer Fire and Rescue Services play a significant role in helping ensure our local community stay safe and are inviting capable and enthusiastic team members to join our team.

We encourage members from all backgrounds to express their interest in joining and if suitable you will be trained in a range of activities including responding to local emergencies such as:

  • structure fires
  • bush and scrub fires
  • vehicle and industrial rescue
  • hazardous materials emergencies

Other roles include working with the community to identify and manage local fire risk, undertaking local fire prevention activities with the community, educating in fire safety, working with residents to improve family and household fire safety.

    Training Monday evenings starting at 1900. Please note: In the event of a Fire Call Volunteers maybe required at anytime of the day.

    You will be provided with all the required training and equipment needed for your role as a VFRS Volunteer. Ongoing training is supplied for the role through DFES
