To join the Bunbury VBFB you need to be available for emergency incidents, training is held fortnightly, meetings are held once per month, and each person is placed in a group to assist with maintenance and equipment checks. Each group completes this activity once per month in summer and bi-monthly in winter. All applicants are invited to an interview prior to joining the Brigade. We are looking for people who would be available during the week, but also welcome enquiries from anyone interested in this Service. We are also keen for more truck drivers. All training is provided, there is a minimum amount of training required prior to be completed prior to attending fires/incidents. A Police Check will be done on your behalf, all PPC/E is provided. The Brigade holds several social activities throughout the year, which family is also welcome to participate in. We are a very social Brigade, however we are also very serious about our job and service to the community. It needs to be understood that joining this Emergency Service requires a commitment to training and other activities.

- Driver's Licence (C)
- National Police Certificate *
It is preferred that members have a drivers license to be able to attend the fire station to respond to incidents. However it is not a requirement. HR or MR License is also a bonus but not required. The Brigade will arrange a police check at its costs.
